Dream Homes USA/ Four Seasons Prey on senior citizens... Belvidere Illinois
My mother and stepfather recently signed a sales contract, contingent on sale of their house, for a prefab house in Four Seasons Belvidere, IL. They didn't sell and asked for their deposit back. The owner refused to mail them a check and said they would have to drive 100 miles to pick it up. She has no family close by.
My mom has heart problems and two artifical knees. My stepfather is legally blind. I asked the owner, Karma, very nicely to please make an except and mail them their refund. She made all sorts of excuses and finally flat refused.
They gave my mom a hard time on the phone and you just know they will be even more difficult if she shows up in person to get her money back. What kind of person does that? These people are preying on senior citizens. Please be careful.

Unfortunately, the ripoff report and complaint referring to the writer's 73 year old mother and 80 year old stepfather seems to be the result of a family dispute. The mother who does have heart problems and the stepfather who is legally bind were very pleased to purchase, without pressure from the seller, a home from Four Seasons-Dream Homes. They were extremly pleased to move into Four Seasons last August. They are very happy to now be residents of the Four Seasons community.
It is most unfortunate that the daughter was displeased and chose to wrongly accuse Four Seasons-Dream Homes of preying on senior citizens. Anyone may drive through the Four Seasons community and speak to residents about why they love to be part of the Four Seasons neighborhood. Four Seasons residents love the beauty of the community, the affordability, the friendly neighbors and enjoy the many free social events. Four Seasons residents will tell anyone about the caring, professional and hardworking staff. In fact the staff often receives thank you cards from residents.
