The following was taken from a complaint letter that went unanswered from representatives at Dream:

I have been a pleased customer with Dream nightclub. Previously, I have visited your club on 3 occasions. On my most recent visit, July 30, 2004, our Dream experience turned into a nightmare.

We received poor service that I felt I should bring to your attention.

I made reservations for table service and a strawberry shortcake to celebrate our birthdays. I was told the guest list was for eight people, including myself. The table we reserved was to fit 8 people comfortably. When we arrived, we were ushered to our area (which housed one sofa and one table) by our hostess Anna only to discover there wasn't enough seating for the six of us. One person was standing up. We asked for another seat. A cube was brought over from the party seated to our left. My brother arrived minutes later.

Imagine my surprise when we asked for another seat, we were told by Anna: Well, this space was only for six people anyway. I told her that I thought there must be some sort of error, since there wasn't even enough space for six people. She proceeded to get yet another cube from another party, and slammed it down in our area.

I spoke with Kris Ramson and asked for a different server. He was apologetic and sent champagne to our table for the inconvenience. Anna then came back to our table with five champagne glasses, when there were a total of seven of us. To add insult to injury, she asked me if I was the one who complained to the manager about her. I informed her I did and then she walked away. We have never been treated so rudely.

We were given another server named Lindsey, who was courteous and pleasant and she brought out our cake. It was a horrendous mess. It was wet. And I don't mean moist. It was unfit for human consumption. Five of the seven of us were celebrating birthdays, and to have a birthday cake we couldn't even eat was the breaking point.

It was my recommendation from my previous visits that prompted us to get table service. Four of the seven people in our party had never been to Dream. As a result, they have all vowed they would never set foot inside again.

On August 5, 2004 I received complimentary tickets to see Musiq perform at Dream on August 6, 2004 . While we appreciate the invitation, unfortunately we were unable to use the tickets. We received them on Thursday and the show was the following day (Friday). We would have to make arrangements for work, childcare, accommodations, etc. as we would be traveling from New Jersey. I feel for the money we paid ($655.00 total), show tickets worth $20 each on Ticketmaster does not make up for what we expected to be a good time.

On behalf of our group, we were extremely disappointed with the service we received that day.
