Jan 31, 2019 - Like the report from 10/15/18, I too was called with the exact same scenario.  My call with the Chicago guy was an hour long and the offer was the same - pay him $499 and I would be out of Dream Vacation Passport (as the guy(s) running it are criminals, complete with mug shots on the internet) AND I would be guaranteed to get between $7000 to $9000 within a short period of time.  The "contract" email he sent me was laughable. During the call, he directed me to a different Rip-Off Report page.  Funny he didn't mention the one HIS company is listed on!

After the call, I did some research.  The company that he named as being the "main moose" in all of this did not come up on a Google search and, based on the name of the company, it seems like it should have.  His company name didn't appear in the contract.  The only reference to it was in the email address.  The PAAM website makes no mention of vacation club resales.

I didnt pay that night because I fell for this exact same scam a few years back and never received a penny of the guaranteed 7 - 9K I was going to get.  That company, also a marketing company, is out of business now (shocker!), apparently, as a Google search comes up empty and I remember them having a website that I found using Google.

Today, my phone has rung once from the Chicago guy and 5 times from the FL woman.  In the Chicago message, I was told that there are now additional fees that have been added for non-payment, something that was NOT mentioned in the hour-long call.  MY next call is to my states Attorney Gereral's office, for starts.  We'll see if they sue . . .

REALLY, wish I hadnt gotten involved w/ Dream Vacation Passport.  It's been a nightmare, and not just for this reason.  Several years ago, some employees reportedly took off with the customer database and set up their own company, telling people that they had taken over for Dream Vacation Passport and that for some amount of money, the account could be transferred to them.  Didn't fall for that one, luckily, but there were a bunch of calls received.

Lastly, my account with DVP is supposed to be a never pay another penny account, so just a tad bit upset that I have this threat of legal action for non-payment of fees.  Never received a piece of snail or e-mail on this.  Another red flag.
