Complaint Review: Dream Vacations

I just recieved a call from Flory at Dream Vacations 866-415-5154. She informed me that my number has been chosen from my area to win this vaction - $800 airline voucher, plus 3 days, 2 nights at a 5 star hotel, plus the option to buy a travel agent pass. The thing is, she asked for Britt, who used to work for me, and used my home office number as his number. I told her he does not work for me anymore, and she said no problem. I was elegible to win too! Great I thought. She said the only caveat was that I have a local Huntington Beach bank, and that I have not filed bankrupcy in the past 2-3 months - yes, MONTHS. I said I had not. She then took my name and asked me for the name of my bank. I told her what she needed, and she tranferred me to another rep (by the way, both people had VERY strong Indian accents).

The other rep "verified" what I had won, and asked me to verify my banks routing number. I asked why, and said because he needed to verify that I am who I am, becasue there are a lot of scams out there. I said that I have already told them who I am, and that I am not the person they asked for in the first place. So what me more is there to verify? He then rudely instructed me to look at a check or bank statement to get my account number. I said no, and he repeated himself, rudely. Then I hung up and found this web site. He also used the "customer service" number of 800-300-4242, which does not seem to be related in any way to any type of dream vacations company. These people need to be stopped.
