My 14 year old son gave me $150.00 that took him over 2 weeks to earn at his job to place an order at DreamKicks.Net on August 30, 2006. They took it out of my account in under 1 minute. It was posted 1 day later. We never received a confirmation so I emailed them several times.

We never received any response to the countless emails sent and everytime I called the 800 number, I got a recording saying that all customer service reps were helping customers and to leave a message and we would get a call back. That didn't happen. And neither did the shipment of the 2 pairs of replica Jordons.

They emailed me back in September and told me I would receive a refund because they were having a problem with the order. I never received the refund in the 5-7 business days stated.

I put in a complaint with the Attorney General of Boston and continued trying to contact DreamKicks. They responded to Consumer Affairs that I would need to get the money back from my charge card. Unfortunately, I used a debit/credit card and the bank would not refund me because I gave my consent for the company to take out the funds which they did within 30 seconds after placing the order.

The explanation that was given was that the credit company called srsi-ad DreamKicks was using locked their account because srsi-ad was going out of business and was not giving out refunds.

My response was to email DreamKicks and ask them if my son could order two more pair of shoes since they couldn't credit my account but they readily took my money and once again, no response.

And now I see they have a brand new website with a new email address operating as usual and so many of us have lost our money to them.

$150.00 is a lot of money for me, just think how my 14 year old son feels that he had to push carriages in a grocery store parking lot in 90 degree weather this summer to get ripped off like this.

If this was a reputable company, they would make good of their promise to refund my money. They certainly took it out of my account quickly enough and they owe me that money back.

I can't believe they can be allowed to continue being in business after stealing from so many of us. Please help.

We Do Apologize, But These Are The Circumstances

Hello,

We do understand your hostility, but please it is not necessary for we are not stealing anything.

Maybe it is our mistake, maybe we're not explaining correctly. Our credit card processor charges your credit card, then they hold the money for about 3 weeks for verification and to make sure their isn't going to be a chargeback, then release the funds to us, However when closing down, they shut down our account, and did not pay us, so we were never given your money, which is why your order had not been placed in the first place. Theirfore we cannot give you a refund for money we never received, and this is why all that we can suggest is that you place a chargeback with your creidt card company in order to get your money back. We are trying to do whatever we can to help you

Thank You,
