Part of this companies business model appears to be selling products by force to customers who don't want them, or don't agree to the terms of the " Sale" .

I didn't think too much about it  when I picked up one of those blow in cards from a magazine, but later I found it again, and thought it's offer of a free months supply of a possible remedy might be a worthwhile opportunity to find something I could use.

It turned out that this, along with using a new credit card to pay the shipping for this "Free" offer, made this a costly, time consuming, pain in the butt.(punn intended).

I rec'd the "free sample" after giving the friendly salesperson the # to pay the shipping for the (free) sample. I even specifically told her that I didn't want the stuff if there was any further obligation for the (free) sample. If I liked the product, which I expected to do, I would be in touch.

I did like the product. decorum prohibits me from going into any detail, here, but trust me, things were moving along nicely. About the time I was ready to order some more, more came, low and behold. the only problem: they charged me $75 to my card without asking.

Not to worry, I placed it in a box unopened along with a note explaining that although I liked the product, I didn't order it, and I couldn't afford it at that kind of green.

I kind of forgot about it for almost a month.Remember, I still thought I was dealing with an honest outfit. Then, I got another months worth of product, and charge on my card. This time there's no room for doubt. I notified them again, and the bank, in writing. They still shipped two more times, I think, put $75 four times total. Each time I sent it back, with request for credit, which of course, they didn't honor until I closed the account at HSBC, who incredibly, sides with the company, saying that they can't recover "my " money even though I notified them of this scam, as soon as I knew, so my position is that DRI Bromalite, has the banks money, since they continued to pay them after I warned them of the scam. I still have my money, and I am prepared to hang tough to keep it, regardless of the consequenses.  You say,"the smart thing to do is just capitulate, and pay for the sake of your credit and reputation".I don't want a reputation as someone who'll pay for stuff they didn't buy. Besides that my other card issuer would have stopped this and let me know, instead of the other way around.

OK , I'm a trusting soul,I do still believe in the Flag and the constitution, and I was born on George Washington's birthday. I know what you're thinking, but these banks have agreements regarding only selling things to people who buy them. or you're thinking I'm a sap for doing this at all. But, you have to be able to believe people will do what they say. Civilization will break down, or something. Allright, I was born at night but it wasn't last night.I've since found that the do this all the time. They do it by talking about fine print, memberships, return policy etc..I'm sure they know exactly what the law is.

I don't know the law that well, but, I know there was no talk of any of that when I talked, nor did I sign anything. They may have a bunch of fine ;print somewhere. I also know that no matter what you say,Free is Free, Lying is lying, stealing is stealing, BS is BS, Right is Right, and this ain't.
