I have a Macintosh computer and I needed Microsoft office for some of my classes. I was told about this website to get Microsoft office 2007. I read the disclosures and it did not state anywhere that this software would not work on my mac.

I contacted Microsoft and they told me that this company does not deal directly over the phone, so I emailed this company. The first time I emailed them they gave me steps to try to make it work, however it did not so I did email againg. They told me that they were not willing to refund and kept telling me to read the disclosure.

I told them that I understand that, but they did not state that in the disclosure. I emailed again and asked for a refund of my 60.00 they told me that they would forward that to accounting. I waited a week and a half and they did not give me any notification.

I emailed them a 4th time telling them that I did not hear anything from them and to please look at my case. After two days they responded to me and again said that they were not going to refund my money and to again read the disclosures.

After that I once again stated that they do not clearly state in the disclosure that this program is not supported with macintosh and that at that point I was going to file a dispute and report their business not only to microsoft, but to this rip-off report.

This company is really bad, they not only withhold info, but fail to have an actual person to talk to but have a no return policy because there product does not work. Do not under any circumstances use this website or this product.

You can resell the software to get your money back

Kellie,

It's terrible when companies offer such poor customer service. Don't fret, though. You can resell the software; in my reading of the license (NOT a lawyer), you can ask for as much money as you can negotiate for, but you should at least be able to get the price you paid.

I downloaded this software from this site, and Section 16 of the license I got for Office 2007 reads:

16. TRANSFER TO A THIRD PARTY. The first user of the software may make a one-time transfer of the software, and this agreement, directly to a third party. The first user must uninstall the software before transferring it separately from the device. The first user may not retain any copies. Before any permitted transfer, the other party must agree that this agreement applies to the transfer and use of the software. The transfer must include the proof of license. If the software is an upgrade, any transfer must also include all prior versions of the software.

To download the license, see:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA102103171033.aspx

Thus, if you saved the downloaded files (if not, try to get the site to help you re-download these; they MIGHT do that), you can explain the situation to a friend, roommate, or anybody on Craigslist. The price is crazy low, so if you can convince somebody you're legit, you could get your cash back.

Best of luck!
