On Saturday, July 31st I placed an order on driedpoppiesdirect.com. On Tuesday, August 3rd my credit card was charged 49.95$, 5$ more than was stated on the website. I didn't take action, because I figured 5$ wasn't THAT much money, and I didn't want the owner of the website to treat me rudely because I complained too loudly...

Nothing happened. Although it states on the site that they will "ship your order within one business day of receiving it," and they also claim that the packages ship "3 days to most places in the US," days went by and I received no email confirmation of my order. They even promise to send an email containing a tracking number so you can check the status on your order. I received no emails at all.

So, on Saturday August 7th, I email the company and tell them that I placed an order on July 31st, exactly a week ago, and although my credit card was charged, I received no confirmation of my order, and received no tracking number. The owner of the website emailed me back, telling me they are experiencing slower ship times because of an overload of orders, and thanked me for my patience. He even sent me a tracking number for my package! I thought for sure it was going to get mailed.

Nope. I checked the USPS website that night, and it said "The US postal service was electronically notified by the shipper on August 7th, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date". Oh...I checked the next day, same message. I checked the next day, and the next...it's now August 12th, and the USPS website still does not say they received any package from him.

So...I don't think he has filled my order, or will ever fill my order. I will be updating this report as the situation changes.

The above response from "Seth" is entirely inaccurate. I ordered 12 days ago, have not received a package or a response to either of my perfectly polite and reasonable emails.

The only communication from him was a form letter after charging my card saying they were a little behind and not to call or email them.(what service)

I have received no invoice, no shipping number, no apology and no package. Plus he has the audacity to come on here and lie saying they were all caught up as of 10 days ago(Then I should have gotten my order a week ago) and that everyone who complained had gotten their package. I haven't. He uses a fake name by the way.

DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. TRUST ME ON THIS.

Dried Poppies Caught up and Policy Change

We had an unexpected dramatic increase in our business.  A few months ago most of the other vendors in the United States ran out of product.  Almost overnight beginning in early July our orders went up 5 fold.  We did not know at the time that it would last as long as it did.  We have hired additional help and worked around the clock and are now caught up as of 10 days ago.

In addition we have changed our policy as to when the credit card is charged.  If an order is received and we cannot ship right away, we will not charge the customer until we are ready to mail the product.

We are resolved to keep this from happening again.  But I guess it's a good problem to have (more business than we can handle).  Everyone who complained has received their orders.  If anyone is dissatisfied with the product they can return it for a full refund.

i'm just wondering if the person who filed this is real. this was submitted, they want us to believe, on aug. 12th although they supposedly ordered on July 31st. i guess it was a miracle that they just happened to get the package the next day and were able to file the follow-up. if it's true then he's the ONLY one getting his order.

MY MISTAKE ENTIRELY

So today, I checked the USPS website, and it still said the same message, that there was no package ever received.... I checked my mailbox anyways today, and the package had arrived.

It turned out that the package had been mailed a LONG time ago, and had been sitting in my mailbox for days. The post office website had been wrong for days, and still is wrong. Because of this, I never went outside and actually CHECKED my mailbox.

To top it all off, I opened the package, and it looked absolutely beautiful! He had even included extra to make up for being late! I feel like such a jerk.

I emailed the vendor and apologized for being so demanding and rude, and promised to update this review.

He's totally awesome, and delivered in just over a week! I'm too embarrassed to ever do business with this vendor again after the way I acted, but I'm totally going to recommend him to my friends!
