I have been dealing with Drive for almost 2 years, my mother had to get an attorney to stop the harrasing and rude calls from employees from Drive. Recently my husband was laid off work and we got behind on our payments. They repossessed our truck.
Within 6 weeks, I was contacted by Drive to see if they could help me back into my vehicle. They said they would lower my payment by over $100 a month and lowered the interest rate by 6%, if I would take the truck back and it would only cost me one payment to get it back. They also said they would relieve us of all the interest that had occurred on the loan. They would rewrite the loan so that I could have the lower payment and interest.

The woman that I talked to got in contact with Auction place that had my truck and had it returned to the repossession agent. Drive paid the redemption fee for me to pick up my truck from the agent. But when I talked to the agent he told me that he thought something was seriously wrong because Drive was even willing to pay him to return my truck to my house, which is over 100 miles from his place of business.
When I went to pick up the truck, there was damage to the vehicle and not to mention almost 600 miles was put on the truck from the time it was repossessed from my home.

I am wondering if there wasn't something illegally done by Drive that is making them bend over backwards for me to get my truck back. Anyone have any ideas for me to research to see?

The woman at drive told me that the day that i got my truck back, there were damages done to the truck not to mention almost 600 miles was put on the truck after the repo. They said they would fix the damages and faxed me a contract to renew the loan. I didn't sign the contract and didn't send it back, I haven't made a payment on the truck cause i don't believe them. I told them as soon as i get a check for the damages i will send a payment and the contract. Needless to say they haven't got back to me yet. They had my truck almost 2 months and had it at a auction house and it didn't sell so i know they don't want this truck back. I told them that if they don't fix the damages i am not going to keep the truck and they can just come get it. I am wondering if anyone knows what my rights are as far as the damages done to the truck after they repoed it.
