My car died, so I went to DRIVETIME, well I am stupid for that. I pay 189 bi-weekly for a 2001 ford taures. This car was good for a month. Now it is one problem after a nother. We had to replace the oil pan and gaskets, since it was leaking 5 quarts a day. It was estimated at 600 dollars to fix, luckily we have a friend with his own company.
He said that every hose was taped up for quick- fixes. Now there are transmistion problems, and the antifreeze sprays everywhere undre the hood. I have two kids which come with lots of bills. I missed one payment, and I am now constantly harrassed. They even called my dad. I am 24! I dont understand how they are still in operation. I cant afford to take legal action on my own. And whe I asked DRIVETIME for assistance on getting the car fixed, they told me that the POLICY had changed. SCREW THAT!

i recently posted info a a ford taurus 01 that i was ripped for. well, i had a lawyer look at my contract.first of all they say they were charging me 24% interest, but when calculated, they were charging me over 26%. not to mention, i was informed that the legal rate is at 18%... thats like twice the time of the legal limit! any how, also... they decided to add my deposit to the price of the car instead of subtracting it. the car is totally broken down. they have been reporting negative equity on my credit (even before i told them i didnt want the pos). i went to honda, they said i could have gotten a car loan anywhere before i went to drivetime. i was seriously tooken! anyway, i am trying to get the car off my record, i told them i did not want to pay them anymore money for a car that was constantly a problem. they tried to tell me that antifreeze in my oil is a general maint. problem. no wonder they cant seem to see a car that doesnt break down, thei are idiots! i am trying to talk to the local news to get them exposed, i dont know whats gonna happen. but if they dont take it off my credit, they will NEVER get that money. infact they should pay me all of my money back, they are the ones who lied so i would be stuck in a car for 3 years. they overcharged me for a car that wouldnt last a year. i was paying 380 a month, the car has broken down consitantly since i have had it. i have had it for a year and i have spent almost 2grand to repair it. these people need to be shut down.
