.3963On February 3, 2010 I found a truck on line at the Las Vegas, Nv. Drive Time Dealer on Sahara Av.  I knew nothing about this dealer group and went to see the truck.  The truck was just what I was looking for and made an offer to but it.  My salesman was a young nice young man and I feel he did a good job handling my purchase.  My wife and I are full time RV'ers and live and travel in a Motor coach enjoying our retirement years.  Because of our life style we are what is called, a domicile resident, of South Dakota. While we have no stick and brick home, SD ia a domicile state and we filed all the leagal papers, as such, we are LEGAL residents of that state.  As such all our propety, i.e, cars motor home are titled and registered in the state of SD. When we made the offer to buy the truck we informed my salesman that the truck will have to be titled in SD.

If that could not be done "it will be a deal killer" My sales man checked with two different management types and said no problem.  We sat at this dealership for over 3 1/2 hours before the paper work was ready to sign.  When this arrrogant "closer" came to the table, the papers where made out to Nevada. I was not happy, and voiced my opinion on this BS. Doing the papers in Nevada would cost me $911. more in sales tax vs. SD sales tax.  The insurance on the truck with Nevada rates would cost me $ 897. more per year vs. SD insurace rate, which eaquals. X 5 year coverage for loan will total $5,396. extra cost.  After much arguing they said if I brought back proof of my residence they would change things to SD. The nest day we drove the 60 mile round trip to the dealer ship to set this straight.

I called ahead by two hours that we were coming in.  When we got there we were made to wait another 2 hours.  I then demanded to see the GM, typical all full of himself used car salesman type, I was not impressed.  He looked at the papers from my bank loan on my other car with my SD address, also drivers licence, insurance coverage proof with SD address....said not good enough. I quote, it is Drive time policy that you have to show a "statement" like a phone bill or a utility bill".  So the Drive Time bean counters feel that their "policy trumps my state rights that the state of SD provides me as a legal resident.  So home we go, I told him he was a GD idiot and left the dealership.  I came back three days later with al thier " bean counter BS statements. Again we were made to wait almost three hours.  The arrogant a*s we delt with looked at the papers and said he would have to call the "home " office to get the new paper work set up for signing. We waited, waited and waited....

finally the finance bean couter said his boss was going to call me.  THis guy was just a colosal rude, indifferent, and condecending a*s!.. He informed me that they could not rewrite the deal as I did'nt request this to done at the get go of the deal.  I informed him, that that was the first item of business, that this truck would be titled in SD.  He rudly dismissed me and ended the call.....We have over 10 lost hours, 240 mi. of driveing . We were promised 4 times this would be done, we came back 4 times to complete the deal, 3 times with the correct STATE approved resident proof, only to get the run around.. Drive time has cheated me out of over $ 5,000. and have made bull face lies and caused us so much uneeded stess.  These are not moral people and will do any thing, concidering they are preditory lenders after all, and should not be trusted in any shape or form. Absolutly

the lower level of humanity that prey on the weak!
