I bought a 2000 Mazda MPV from Drive Time on February 2006. I ask for a history report on the car but they refuse to show it to me. They told me that the car is very good. The next day I took the car back to them cause the breaks where real bad. I waited for 4 hours to get the car back. When I got the car back, I had to take it back again the next day cause it still had the same problem. I was there again, But this time I waited for 8 hours. They never fix the problem on the breaks.

Since that day I still have that problem. 3 months later My Radiator blew out on me. The radiator hoses where all old. I did not drive the car for 3 months. I called Drive Time to see if there mechanic could fix. I was told that I was going to pay for the whole thing. The manger and I came in to angreement, That he would pay for everything. He call the same day and told me that he is not paying for nothing. I was very upset with these person. I had to pay for my car payment and the repairs.

After when I got the car back. A month that I got the car back my engine blew out on me. I had my kid in the car with me. I call drive time about it and they told me ( There's nothing we can't do for you ). I had to pay $1800 for a new engine and $250.00 to install the engine. After that everything was good intill I had the car get diagnostic. They told me that that Drive Time never replace the spark plugs or they never touch anything on the car before they sold it to me. So I was left with all the repairs thanks to them.

I get calls everyday about my payments. I'm 2 days ahead of my payment and they are always calling about the payments. I just found out that I'm getting charged $7.04 everyday in till I make a car payment. My payments never go downs.

I am in need to find someone to sue the company. I don't know where to fine the anwser for that. If I'm geeting screwed over I don't want anybody go though what I'm going though with this company. Drive Time need to be closed down for good.

Look Thomas

You have no idea what I went though with the people from Drive Time. I never thougt That I would have problem with this car OKAY. And to straight thing out. I had the car diagnostic first before the engine was replace. The old engine was a mess. The mechanic inspected the old engine and found so many thing wrong with it. It's Drive Time responsibly to inspect the car first before putting the car on the lot. I did not pick the car out, That what they gave me.

Always take a used car to a mechanic before buying to have it checked out. Now, for the rest of your problem....

First of all, when they refused to show you the vehicle report (CARFAX?) why did you buy it anyway?

Secondly, you had a new motor installed, then you say that Drive never changed the plugs? Are you talking about the old engine? This makes no sense.

They sell cars. It's your responsibility to maintain it. Again, a simple diagnostic would've found the problems, and saved you a ton of money.

"I bought a 2000 Mazda MPV from Drive Time on February 2006. I ask for a history report on the car but they refuse to show it to me. They told me that the car is very good."

They simply refused to document the condition of the car to you as YOU had requested, and so you bought it ANYWAY.

Now you have problems? Are you really surprised? Maybe you should have simply walked away and gone somewhere else? You could have been like Diogenes with a lantern, searching for an honest used-car dealer.

The cost for replacing the motor (a good salvage motor, not a new motor, I presume) sounded reasonable at $2050 installed but someone "in the business" would know better.

Sounds to me like you would do best to scrape the remaining balance together and pay off the car. It is not clear to me how you can get any legal relief at a reasonable cost, considering your comment I posted above, i.e. let the buyer beware.
