I purchased a car from Drivetime last year for my girlfriend and in less than a month the SUV stopped on the highway and it was towed to their service center and 2 weeks later I called them to find out why no one had called to give me the report of my 2002 Dodge Durango. Well I finally called them and they informed me that the engine and transmission were permanently damamged!

I was so upset I asked them to refund my money, but ofcourse they decided to place me in a 2002 Jeep Cherokee instead. I begged them to just refund the money and allow me to go my separate ways.

Needless to say, I just had to pay $1,000 to have the transmission re-built in the Jeep. I attempted to contact channel 9 Action news to blow the whistle on these guys, but they didn't do much.

I am completely outraged by the fact this company company is still in business, based on the way they treat the customers once the contract is signed. They are completely ripping-off the general public.

Pleae spread the word on this Company!

Did you read the fine print?

From their website it says "we offer warranties for a full 180 days or 6,000 miles."

The Durango was under 180 days. If the fine print says they reserve the right to replace with comparable product they did that. I am sure they said we offer you this that and the other vehicle and you picked the Jeep.

You have had the Jeep a year so it is well past the 180 days and probably well past the 6000 miles.

Action news or anyone else cant help you once a warranty expires. Also the dealer can't be blaimed after a year. Your girlfriend might have an engine killer and transmission killer driving style, or non maintenance, or wrong maintenance.
