I purchased a 2007 dodge nitro in April of 2015 from DriveTime formly known as BridgeCrest now. I can say I hated that truck and never had the chance to enjoy it because the first week I had the truck I was putting money into it. From going to the mechanic, going to the dodge dealer, my insurance company having to send out so many tows. The first week I got it, it started making a loud noise, take it to the mechanic they tell me the wheels were so loose if I would of been going over 70 mph on the highway the wheel would of fell off. One day the car started smelling like gas so much I couldnt be in it and I defiantly couldn't put my nephew in it. Get it towed to the mechanic, something happen to where my gas was leaking in my engine and that was within the first 3 months of the car. I call the warranty to company and tell them everything I need, they proceed to argue with the mechanic and told me I can't get the car fixed their because he isn't a real mechanic. AFTER they checked his buisness online. I then take my truck to the dodge dealer and they end up fixing it. Truck was gone for a week. Mind you throughout the entire year, my mechanic and tow trucks kept telling me to get rid of the truck it's no good and it's not safe. Another time my air wouldn't work and it was July. Very hot in July living in IL. Go to the dodge dealer and they contacted the warranty company and then a blower motor etc had to be replaced. Another time I need outlooks pieces for my engine, the warranty company Said it was not covered and I told them it doesn't matter you guys need to fix this because I haven't had the car for over 6 months. The car throughout the year just would not start. Spring. Summer, fall. Winter. Doesn't matter when it would just stop. Had to get it towed or they came to my house. Had to get brand new tires on it and that shouldn't have needed to happen for at least another year or around winter. The mechanic honestly saw me at least 3 times a month for this dodge nitro. Finally it got so bad and I got tired of putting money into a car that I was paying 450$ for a month. I finally told them they needed to get me a new car because this truck was unsafe. They told me I needed to owe a certain amount and owed to much on the car still. I said IDC your giving me another car from the same company so it shouldn't be a problem. Well finally I went to a dealer. I was considered upside down which means I owed more on my car then my car was actually worth. But this dealer specialized in upside down cars and they took me out of that death trap. The Chevy dealer told me they truck was a piece of s**t and there was to many problems. When I took the truck to the dealer, the EBS, ABS, break light, check engine light were all on. There is no reason why I should of gone through as much as I did with that truck within ONE year and majority of my problems were the first 6 months of me having my truck. I was constantly calling customer service. Constantly talking to managers/supervisors. The company employees are so d**n rude it's ridiculous. My family new how bad my truck was and they knew if I ever got into an accident cause of that truck and I died. They knew to sue DriveTime/ Bridgecrest because they did nothing to help me. They were only worried about their money. I am gonna contact the better business bureau. Even if nothing happens, no one should get a car from here and I would never recommend people to go their. I deter people from their. DriveTime is horrible and there cars are not reliable what so ever. The employees are not reliable either. I know that they know they are selling bad cars. I am blessed to be out of that death trap. Paying all they money for a truck that is literally a piece of s**t
