DriveTime ripoff sell cars to you for 6,000 dllrs more than what they pay for them. Tucson Phoenix Arizona
I was what drivetime (ugly duckling) called a loan rep(more like a loan shark). It was my job to keep deliq acct under 5 days deliq. They forced every rep to harrass , belittle customers. Managers are always on reps backs to get money in today. I think the word they use is BLM Bottom Line Management. This is what they use to get rep to collect money .
They have a party every year called la palooza in phoenix, az and fly in reps and managers to this, to pick up a check (bonuses) for ripping off consumers. I have a lot of info on them being an insider. It's not pretty what they do. I will write other story on them. Just to let every one know drive time is ugly duckling it's a scam they were going to try to see if they could get away from what they call buy here pay here slogan. It's UGLY DUCKLING people .

What's The Difference? the typical mark up on just about any late model used car

I would imagine that is the typical mark up on just about any late model used car. When I see what those car dealers give people for their trade-ins, repos, demos, rent-a-cars, etc, turn around and sell them at overinflated prices, that sounds about right. Old beat up POS they get for $500 to $1500, sell for $2900 to $4900, 7 to 5 year old car they pick up for $2500 to $4500, sell for $6500 to $9500, 3 to 5 year old they pick up for $4500 to $7500, sell for $9900 to $15500, 1 or 2 year old that they got for $7500 to $12500, sell for $15500 to $19900. Add on taxes, fees, dealer add-ons and interest and you're getting screwed.
If any of these people bothered to compare the price of last year's used vehicles to what you can buy a new one for with rebates, it's CHEAPER to buy a new one then what a dealer will sell you a used one for. Gillespie Ford tried to give me $4000 for one of my vehicles on a trade. Retail was $13500, wholesale was $11500. Loan value was $9700. I sold it myself for $9700, in 10 minutes for cash. $5700 more then the dealer was going to give me for it. He'd tried and sell it for the $13500, making $9500.
