We wanted to update the headlight system on our 2002 Lincoln Towncar - Cartier "L" by adding HID headlights or bulbs that were blue in color or had a pale blue tinge.

We ordered a pair of Hella HB5/9007 High Performance Xenon Blue Headlight Bulbs, Set OF 2 -- 12 volts; 65/55 watts; 5.08 amperes; 1285 that were advertised as:

Type: HID
Product Fit: OE ReplacementQuantity
Sold: Set Of 2Anticipated Ship Out Time: 1-3 Business Days
Beam Color: Blue
Bulb Type: 9007Warranty: 1-year
Hella Limited WarrantyFit Note: 65/55W -~- HI PERF XENON BLUE -~- DUAL BEAM

We un-installed the old bulbs and installed the new Hella's.  The first evening we drove the car we discovered two things:  1)  We no longer had high beams, and   2)  The color of the beam was pure white.

Contacted Drive Wire Customer Service and had them go to the ad on their webpage.  And asked them why I didn't have high beams and why the beam color was "white" and not blue.  They passed me around to some supposedly technical person who said the blue bulbs always showed an bright white.  I asked them why their's and Hella's specification advertised it as "Beam Color:  Blue" and he said well it shouldn't say that.  I asked why I didn't have high beams.  He replied that he didn't know why, they just sold them.

Needles to say if I have an accident becasue of the lack of high beams, I will go after both DriveWire and Hella in a court of law.

I would never buy anything from DriveWire again.  Let the Buyer Beware!
