I recently ordered a prescription from Drugstore.com. According to their website, orders which are paid at the full price (ie, without using insurance) are eligible for a $10 discount on the first order. I submitted my order, it was processed and mailed to me.

Upon receiving the package, I checked the invoice to see that the $10 discount was not applied. They had in fact charged me the FULL price of the prescription, against the information that was quoted to me via their website. I immediately called and emailed them regarding this misrepresentation.

My phone call was transferred to "someone in that department" who of course was not answering the phone, so I left a voicemail message. After not receiving a call back or a response to my email, I sent another email and called two more times. NO ONE from Drugstore.com will assist me in resolving this error. They simply do not care. They are only out to make a fast buck and will go through any means possible to do so, even if it means ripping off consumers via false advertising.

These incredible bafoons must be stopped! I highly recommend against anyone purchasing anything from them ever, as you will probably get ripped off by them too!

I have shopped at drugstore.com for 5 years, and been happy with both Rx and OTC service.

They offer a lot of promotions, and as always you need to read closely to be sure you understand what you are getting.

There are laws about offering "dollars off" on prescription orders, so they offer $10 off an OTC order if you place a prescription order. You paid full price for your prescription, and they give you the discount on your next order for shampoo and toothpaste, etc.

They do answer e-mails but I have found that some of the reps don't give a good response so if I didn't get a decent reply I write again.
