Entered into a contract with Dryden Enterprises to build new home in June 2005 with completion date of November 2005. House not completed until December 2005.

Installed faulty heating unit that did not work properly for the first 30 days I was in the house. Unbeknownst to me, the heat was running on auxiliary heat for one month resulting in $375 electric bill. After numerous phone calls, complaints and threats, builder finally sent someone out who finally fixed the problem. Next electric bill only $137.00. Builder and electrical company refuse to refund differential.

Hired home inspector in January. Numerous findings noted that should not be found on a brand new house. Most notable are the reversed water lines in the master bathroom. Complaints to the builder and plumbing contractor that installed the lines has resulted in no action at all. Plumbing contractor claims it's policy is not to set appointments but to call 10-15 minutes prior to contractor's available time. This practice is deceptive in that most people don't have the flexibility to be able to leave work with a 10-15 minute notice. Numerous requests for a specific appointment have turned out to be fruitless.

Other deficiencies noted in the home inspection include:

Driveway showing signs of poor drainage; earth to wood contact; improperly sloped soil at foundation; poor site drainage; moisture ponding on driveway; mortar cracks and gaps/separations/holes noted; rust/corrosion on brick flashing on windows; discolored/different roof shingles; exposed flashings; concrete material left to harden in master bathroom toilet; missing/broken doorstops; cracks in garage slab to wall junctions; garage door frame unsealed; unsealed gaps/opening at various places around house; stains on attic framing; molding on vinyl siding; thermostat located in poor location.

This is my first home and what should have been a happy time in my life has turned out to be a pure nightmare. If I had it to do over, I would never have contracted Dryden Enterprises to build my home. The workmanship is well below acceptable standards and their follow-up and service call system is unacceptable.

My son and I lived in our brand new home with no heat for the first month of living here. Dryden Enterprises and the contractors he hires have no concern for the people that buy/build from/with them.

I pray another builder moves begins building here in Hinesville.
