DSI promised show me how to save at least 2500.00 on debt payment. They guaranteed to do so or refund my 399.00. They failed to save me any money and refused repeatedly to refund the fee. The story was posted in March '04 and appeared on other consumer advocate sites. After the negative publicity and after I found out there were others out there experiencing the same problem I re-contacted DSI Financial 7/8/04.

The "owner", Kenny Schwartz was still uncooperative but I refused to back down. Minutes later he called me back and put another rep on the line, Jennifer Whalen. She was more "diplomatic" and at the end of the conversation did promise to send my refund via overnight mail in the form of a cashier's check.

Today, two days later, I received a worthless check, not cashier's, unsigned. What nerve! These people need to be exposed and stopped. I deserve compensation and an apology.

Received a call from Julie Braden of DSI financial, right then and there I informed Ms. Braden if this was a sales call, I was not interested. She insisted it was not, that she was calling to save me money. After listening to her, she turned me over to her supervisor, Mr Jason Gillard, I listened and again stated I was not interested.

After he intimidated me, he turned me over to Emily, she asked for my credit card number, stating they just needed it only to see what percentage rate they could give me and I was under no obligation. Told her I did not like giving it over the phone, after that she kept repeating about the savings. After I gave it to her, I told her to forget it, I didn't want it, that is when Mr. Gillard cut in and started harrassing and intimidating me again, I tried to tell him over and over I did not want his help, I could go through my TSP loan, he knocked that down.

I was then turned over to Amy, who wanted the same info I just gave Emily, little did I know it would cost me $499, and no refund until I gave her the "Yes" answer. After I heard that, I immediately called my credit card company to stop the payment, to late, they had just popped in with the order, so now I have to wait to appeal the charges. Then five days later, I received the package, and there was a card from a Mary Snow. After seeing the last name, I thought back to the Federal Employee Financial Planning seminar I just attended two days before the pressured call from DSI, that was given by a Judy Snow.

I called Ms. Mary Snow to find out if she was related to Judy Snow. After telling the person who answered the phone, who I was and why I wanted to speak to Mary Snow, I was asked if I had called the company a couple of days ago. I stated I had, she asked me to hold on, then after a couple of minutes holding, she came back and informed me that Ms. Snow was on another call. Ms. Snow never returned my call. I will email Judy Snow at: [DELETED], to ask her if she is related to Mary Snow. Mary Snow is at 1-888-536-1701, www.DSIFINANCIAL.COM. I want my credit card to be reimbursed and I want to let this company know that the law states that if I say "NO", I am not to be harrassed and pressured even if they are promising me a savings of $2,500. And I called DSI back within 24 hrs that next day the 25th of July 2004 and told her to have it cancelled. I will also report them to the Better Business Bureau.

DSI Financial, represented by Jennifer Whalen, did indeed send me a full refund along with a small compensation. She was very apologetic and was quite concerned with correcting the problem and mending the company reputation. I received the refund yesterday in the form of a cashier's check via overnight FedEx.

I gave them my word that I would not resume any further postings. This will be my last post on this issue.
