If you buy something from them make sure you video tape the sales people for evidence in the future.

Buyer Beware - Bait and Switch - Fraudulent Company - I purchased a Burma ruby and diamond ring from DSN in an Auction. It was a slow night for DSN back in early June.  The woman who was selling the ring said the Burma Ruby alone should appraise around $5000 a carat and the ring should appraise for around $17,000. The screen showed the diamonds were VS - VVS.

Originally when I gave them my credit card, the order taker said it would take up to 2 - 3 weeks to receive the ring.  It was a one of a kind and they told me that because it was a one of kind that I would get that particular ring. I had to make many phone calls.  for several months.  They kept telling me that everything was backed up and that it had to go through another department and be sized before it was shipped out.  This went on for months.  I believe they made a new ring to match the ring they showed on TV.  The ring I received months later was not as nice.

When I received the ring,  the diamonds were tagged SI.  I complained to Customer Service because the diamonds were advertised VS -VVS.  They said they would have to review the tapes.  The bozo customer service guy came back and lied about the tapes and said that they were not advertised as VS - VVS.

I took the ring to get it appraised.  The appraisal usually cost $95.00 but the Jeweler felt sorry for me because I had been deceived and only charged me $50.00.

A burma ruby usually has a blue hue and tint to it compared to a brownish hue and tint from rubies from other areas.

This ruby from DSN had a brownish hue. He took it to an expert in Rubies, and they could not give me a definite answere that it was or was not a Burma Ruby. However the quality and color were not as promised by the salesperson who inflated the value and quality of the Rubies and Diamonds.

The average Diamonds were not even SI as on the description.  They appraised as Imperfect.

The Ruby was appraised around $300 -$400 a carat.  Not the inflated $5000 a carat as promised by the salesperson on TV.

I has honest with their Customer Service and tried to return the ring without an appraisal after speaking with the Jeweler.  They told me that I would have to have a written appraisal done by a Jeweler or they would charge me a restocking fee of 15%.

This company is fraudulent and their sales practices are deceptive.  Their salespeople lie and their customer service lies.

If this happens to you. My suggestion is to get your ring appraised and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and State Attorney General's office of California.

DSN has caused me alot of headaches I will never do business with them again

Yours truly
