Dudley Perkins Harley Davidson put out a 2008 Screamin' Eagle motorcycle with a 110 cubic inch custom built motor that puts out 1802cc, a beautiful bike. I bought this bike from Dudley Perkins off their showroom floor in 2009. At 600 miles the bike began to run extremely hot and was overheating. I took it into Dudley Perkins and they repaired the bike. However, they refused to give me a receipt for the work that was done, saying there was no paperwork, "it was just a minor fix". They had actually taken the motor apart and rebuilt it because of the overheating, but no way can I prove that and they knew it.

Regular maintenance was not due untill 1000 miles. Later I find out the rings were seeping. At 1200 miles the bike began to run hot again. The bike was returned to Dudley Perkins, and they did the first scheduled maintenance on the bike. They said it was normal for the bike to run hot. They also told me that I should not drive in traffic that stalls the bike, that it needs air and the wind to cool it. I found this aggravating because they were giving me back a bran new motorcycle without repairing the true defect, completely lying about it, and never disclosed the serious problems with a motor that had been recalled.

Effectively selling a lemon right off the showroom floor with full knowledge of it. And forcing me to buy extended warranties. After the runaround from Dudley Perkins a lawyer tells me after the original two year warranty expires, the lemon law cannot be applied. So Dudley Perkins intentionally sold a lemon, hid the defects from the consumer, applied maintenance records where more serious repairs were done, refused true records and true reciepts, falsified records and reciepts and continues to lie about it.

The entire experience was a stalling tactic from Dudley Perkins so they would not have to take the bike back, and at this point has refused to repair it. It's put away with the voltage regulator fried and the battery is dead, im sure because of the overheating, and Dudley Perkins refusing to fix it. 3000 miles on a new bike purchased from Dudley Perkins and I cannot drive it. I put this out so that anyone looking to buy a Harley Davidson, unless they stand behind their products do not buy from Dudley Perkins. You crossed the line by having the bike on the floor and not disclosing its defects. PS. I think its very important to note .... while all this was going on between me and Dudley Perkins and the service department, Harley Davidson's CEO was ringing the bell at the stock exchange.

Right now im wondering why I can't find the link to remove the report while I try to handle this issue outside the help of Rip Off. com, but it seems to me your priority is to leave the report up. Where is the link to remove the report? Or will I have to report to others that RipOff.com refuses to remove complaints and therefore should not be used!
