Complaint Review: Green Valley Realty H. Walker & Assoc

We purchased a home built by Green Valley Realty & small yard for our kids in '98 with money we had saved since our teens. We were very excited, but soon after purchase a drainage/standing water problem became evident & we contacted Green Valley Realty's VP.

Upon our request she wrote down what the problem ("drainage problem") & what she said she would do about this problem ("correct a drainage problem.")

1) Green Valley Realty's VP put in writing the problems we were having & what she would do,as described above.

2)We purchased fill-dirt & wait for Co.to call & come out.

3)A long-time employee of Green Valley Realty comes down our driveway in a small bobcat-no phone call(as we'd requested) & husband's at work. The employee proceeds to spread our fill-dirt(provided for "correcting a drainage problem" thru our yard.

4)Green Valley Realty's employee stops working, says he'll be back. All our dirt's gone. STILL with us is the "bowl" in our yard where water collects & stands,& a newly busted pipe-compliments of his Bobcat & promises to return!

Neither the verbal promises of Green Valley Realty's VP to return nor her written word have been honored. A city bldg insp called & asked her to meet with himself & us concerning our yard, she refused & relayed for me to "hire a lawyer & she'd see me in court."

So much for working with your customers!

Additionally, there are potentially dangerous lots owned by Green Valley Realty which also have been ignored & left unfinished, as their employee left ours. One lot this Realty dug a large basement foundation hole & left it to fill with water~ this was left OVER 6 moths.

Action of any type wasn't taken until city Bldg Insp called on Apr.4,2002 & asked Green Valley Realty to drain the water. She said she'd come Apr.6,2002 but was a no-show until Sun the 7th. The Co dug a path for water to drain, but the hole's still there. We have to constantly be on guard to keep our children from trying to play in this open lot on our street. There are over 12 kids
on our street.

*** Pictures of our drainage problem, of the pipe busted by Green Valley Realty's employee,of the empty lot &basement hole,plus the paper written by Green Valley Realty's VP concerning correcting a drainage problem are all being filed with the BBB of AL & other regulatory agencies. Will also try to post pic's here when able.***********

Green Valley Realty's owner we believe has filed suit against the city's building inspectors,these suits were filed before we started filing our own complaints concerning Green Valley Realty. It makes it much more cumbersome for the city to try & help us when they have this Co.putting lawsuits over their heads.

Regardless,Green Valley Realty's VP refused when
the Bldg Insp merely asked her to schedule a mtg. btwn.the Co.,the bldg.insp's & myself! She has also refused our attempts to get her to make good on her written word. NOT very good customer relations!

This Co. also has built in FL.,believe Tampa,not sure which Co.name was,or is,used.

There are others who have complaints of unfinished,potentially hazardous work in their home & yard. Also others have had the same rudeness & been ignored as we've experienced. Customers who spend good money oh their house do not deserve such ill treatment!!

But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public?
