I recently purchased a gift card then transferred it on my Dunkin Donuts App.  I made a purchase with the app.  The next day I attempt to use my app again and it had been shut off by Dunkin Donuts.  After calling and being on hold for 37 minutes I finally get through.  They say there is nothing that can be done because transferring the gift card violated their terms.

I filed a complaint through the BBB so Dunkin Donuts contacted me again just to tell me there is nothing they can do.  So in the corporate world of Dunkin Donuts they can shut down your account with a balance without refunding you.  They have stolen $55.92 from me.  I am having a hard time understanding how a company is allowed to steal your money.  If an individual stole someones gift card then they could be charged with a crime.

Dunkin has made zero effort and have been very condescending in their efforts to make this right.  They have made zero effort to make this right.  I am out $55.92 while having no recourse.  I am amazed at their business model.  I obviously will never walk in another Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins again.

Thank you for your expertise Josh from afghanistan but Dunkin Donuts admits the card was valid with credit on it.  They say it goes against their terms so therefore they can freeze the card and steal the money.  So actually, my beef is with with Dunkin Donuts.

Stolen gift card

Gift cards sold on the internet are usually sold by carders, who buy them with stolen credit cards.  Once the merchant they were bought from figures out that they were defrauded, they will void the balance on it.  Your beef is with whoever sold you the gift card.
