When I first knew about this collection agency, I immediately inform them (by certified mail) that I was in the process of settling this account with the original Creditor (KINECTA Credit Union) and they should stop their collection process. I never heard about them again. About two month ago, I check my credit report bureaus and I came to find that this people had place a derogatory collection remark. I try to dispute it with the creditors, even sending them proof of the account been settled and paid in full, but they refuse to remove this false information arguing that they verified the information with Dunstone and they say is correct (?). The collection agency would not respond to my letters (obviously!) and the original creditor, Kinecta, just ignore the whole thing all together. This is my first attempt to get things resolve, next I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB the FTC and probably that state Attorney' General's office. I'll keep updates coming.

WHY BBB???? Why is this the first thing everyone says? Do you know that the BBB has absolutely NO power to do anything?

They [BBB] are a business that charges its members annual fees. Do you really thing they will put adverse information against someone who is paying them??

USE the FTC for all complaints regarding debt collectors.
