Complaint Review: Dupage Housing Authority

Why is it, eveyone asks if someone on Sect 8 is a taxpayer???  It appears those that respond with the put up shut up ignore aspect of having a roof over ones head do not complain may be owners not wanting these aspects known or DuPage Housing Authority employees, friends, etc.  Maybe if those responding in this fashion were to look up how corrupt DHA was/is, they would see it for themselves...you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make them drink..I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you! 

Read about Attorney Schillerstrom, John Day, and the Board and how all were let go for misplacing monies, using business credit cards for personal use, etc...

Since HUD caved to the IAR (Illinois Association of Realtors) around '95/'96 allowing non-renewal of Sect 8 tenants without reason after the first year or they (IAR) would pull out of the program...all of my moves started at that time after being on a Section 236 property that also accepted Sect 8, where I followed the rules, had/have medical conditions, pointed out to DHA they are not following their own Judicial Procedures in THEIR policies, where DHA did not follow the rules/regulations of the Villages/Cities where units were located in (ie Occupancy Permits, Licensing, etc.), where they allowed me to move into unit with roof leaks, gas leaks, cracked windows, Building and Zoning Violations, no proper occupancy permits(where applicable), no licenses (where applicable)...and others as DHA was in it to make Owners/Landlords/Managers MONEY, not to have them spend it on safe, secure, habitable decent living areas.

I even did neighborhood watch due to gang and drug issues because I did what I could under my circumstances FOR THE BETTERMENT of aspects as it should not matter if you are low, middle or high income...DECENCY, Civilized, appropriate behaviors are what we deserve, for ourselves and children. 

I too was treated like C(rap) by DHA Inspectors Joe Maiello, Kristen Sartore others...you know who you are and what you did.  I had to go to the extent of having a video camera on for Joe when he came due to how he talked to me...Kristen Sartore told me no one had the time to talk to me in their office and due to the propensity of poor treatment by them I had a message on my recorder that they obviously knew about that said the conversation may be recorded at the time they called or when returned...so I was yelled at and hung up on due to this.

I sent a letter to Attorney Schillerstrom regarding an owner Kurt Mach who was at the time endorsing my rent checks with an entity involuntarily dissolved by the Sec. of State approx. 12 years prior & Schillerstrom said this owner was doing nothing wrong, yet the bank did not think so...this building did not a license either to be renting per Village of Woodridge at that time yet DHA passed the inspection not following their own rules or that of the Village or City where the unit was located.

SO every time someone thinks a flawed program is so great...talk to me...I was not one of the real problem tenants...I followed their rules to the best of my ability...they did not follow their own rules for themselves and allowed those who cause trouble to remain because they asked for nothing, had records or something that could be held over their heads, etc...but if you tried to do it right were ostracized, abused, ridiculed, forced to move, becoming a refugee in your own country when you were not an anchor baby and were here legitamately...I can say more but I will leave it at this.

THIS PROGRAM WAS NOT DESIGNED FOR THE RULE FOLLOWERS BUT THE RULE BREAKERS, the SHEEPLE, The put ups shut ups and ignores...DHA would not even show me where the rules for a person who moved out changed as my son moved out and I gave them a letter just as I had for a prior, dated and signed, they still did not respond and just kicked me off the program...still to this date they will not respond.

NOW, I bet if a tenant did not report what they were supposed to, DO YOU THINK HUD OR DHA WOULD FORGIVE THEM IF THEY CORRECT THE PROBLEM LIKE THEY ARE ALLOWING DHA TO DO???  Do not think so!!!

 I do not know why anyone would be sickened by this report. Most of us are taxpayers and since we are in the United States of America and not overseas, we should be aware of how corrupt The Dupage Housing Authority is in allocating federal taxpayers money inappropriately. Are you a taxpayer? Or even a US citizen? Or maybe a Housing Authority employee? I am a taxpayer and had a similar experience with Dupage Housing Authority with some woman named Gail yelling and talking to me like crap because my paperwork was not in order. She is a real piece of work.Section 8 should be for the low income, disabled, and elderly. People working at the housing authority should be grateful they have a job and treat others like they would like to be treated and HUD or someone else should look into their employees actions more closely.

 I am sickened by this report because Section 8 is taxpayers money. Are u are taxpayer?? There are men and women overseas living in deplorable conditions and you b***h about Section 8 housing?? Get a life and be grateful for what you have - internet access, a home to post this idiotic complaint and a roof over your head.
