I am dissappointed in Gov. Rendell's decision to give the utilities supreme power to turn off someones utilities even though they have legitimate reason to believe that a customer will pay.

I ahve been a Duquesne light customer for over 20 years and they now do not have to listen to the PUC anymore.
I have a family of 5. I work 50+ hours per week and do what I can to keep the utilities going.

My income falls between the cracks of social service(welfare) help and enough to pay all my bills on time.
WE will be in silence and dark in my house after tomorrow because the light co. will not accept the arrears amount of $500 and are demanding $2000 to keep the electric flowing.

Please consider this letter.

I have a loan coming from my 401K to pay up my mortgage and utilities within the next 10 days and everybody BUT Duquesne light is willing to wait.
