Unfortunately, I too am a victim of another DVDdonkey scam.

I placed an order for the Carol Burnett and Friends Seasons 1-6 on Dec. 12th, 2007 thinking that I had found a perfect gift for my father for Christmas. Well, it's now Jan. 18th 2008 and amazingly still no dvd's but of course my credit card was billed for $107.72. I guess the $28.00 shipping fee may have been the first clue that I was about to get ripped off.

Trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt, I have contacted the company via e-mail and via live chat numerous times and each time still no answers. The last thing i was told is that the dvd's were successfully shipped and that it was probably because of the slow postal system in Canada that was the hold up. I asked if they had any way of tracking the package and sure enough I was given a handy-dandy tracking number to find this missing shipment.

Interestingly enough, the tracking number they gave me to track the shipment of dvd's on the Post Canada website aren't valid tracking number's either. Upon confronting DVDdonkey about this I was promised that the company would contact the post office to get to the bottom of this matter and I would be promptly notified again via e-mail. Needless to say, quite some time later, I still haven't been contacted.

Don't fall for the same rip-off scam I did.

I took the advice given by this website and contacted my credit card in reference to the dvddonkey.com purchase. The credit card company did an fraud investigation on my purchase and after just a short time they refunded me for the full amount!

Thank you to everyone who gave me advise with this issue!

Additional information on DVD donkey:

The charge shown on my visa bill is from "DVDSHOP" and lists a partial telephone number of: 1 800 314-221CY

I'm not sure what the two letters are all about at the end of this phone number is all about.

I just sure hope these people get caught.

We can stop these guys....

The way to cut these guys out is to nail their Credit Card processing ability.

They will never stop spamming or scamming unless we stop allowing them to prcoess.

Therefore, we need to find out WHO and WHERE they process credit cards.

And this starts with your CREDIT CARD STATEMENT and the BILLING DESCRIPTOR.

What EXACTLY did it show on your Credit Card statement?
(Company Name, Phone #???)

Once we have this information, we can find out WHO their bank is and contact the bank directly to make them aware of this company and their fraudulent activity.

If the BANK does not listen or respond, we contact VISA/Mastercard directly.

I look forward to doing everything I can to stop these bad guys.

So please provide the EXACT information that showed up on your Credit Card statement so we can nail these scammers.
