Complaint Review: Dynasty Magazines / Book Sales

A young lady approached me yesterday with the standard salespitch of the dynasty company - going to college, trying to get a trip to England, has to sell these magazines/books etc... This young lady said her mom and dad retired in the neighborhood and with all the new construction in the area sounded legit...found out it was bogus this morning. However before finding out it was bogus, i went ahead and bought a magazine subscription for soldiers overseas, only to find out this morning that this company is a total ripoff - I have spoken with local police in the area and they said that the infividuals were hitting county wide and they are on the look out for the individuals perpertrating this hoax and selling these bogus books and mags.
Please also be aware that the young lady who came to my door kind of discussed toilet papering the house of a neighbor who wasnt nice to her. Be aware in Carroll County Maryland that this hoax is going on and once you write that check, these people could rip you off for everything you have in your bank acct. or they could just hit you for what your check is written for, but multiply that by hundreds of people with these bogus books and mags, and people in this area could be ripped off for thousands of dollars.
