I recieve so many of these email scam letters daily, but this one appeared to be different. I wrote him. He pursuaded me to give him my phone number and I.D...
At least that is as far as it went... never got my bank information.

After phoning me many times and coming up with slightly different scenario each time to confuse me, he finally faxed me the "certificate of deposit" requesting me to supply this financial clearing house with my banking information. Repeatedly I had explained to him that I could not accept such a large sum of cash without filling out a CMIR for the IRS. He pursuaded me to believe that his clearing house financial institution located in London would take care of all the necessary reporting that would have to be done. ridiculous isn't it?
