E-topbiz, E-topbiz Scripts E-topbiz.com sells Non Working Scripts Then Charges for Support to Fix Problems Croatia Other
I purchased a traffic exchange script via e-topbiz sometime back. Only half of the script worked. I e-mailed their support team who insisted that the scripts work and they wanted to charge me extra for support services. I am very skilled in PHP and was able to clearly outline the problem. After outlining the problem in the 2nd e-mail, I did not receive a response back. I did some searching in Google for the company and noticed that many of their scripts are subject to SQL Injection Vulnerabilities. I e-mailed them to find out what they were doing with these problems prior to purchasing any other scripts. They insisted that none of their scripts were subject to this problem. I then e-mailed specific examples and they said they would look into the issue. Now, about 1 year has passed and I have yet to receive a response and will not be purchasing any other scripts from them. Already lost money on the 1 script I purchased.
Keep in mind that their scripts are priced very low so I guess you get what you pay for. Prior to submitting this report, I did some more Google searching on the company. I found one web forum that talked about users buying scripts from this company then they suspected that the company itself was hacking their sites after the script was installed. I do not believe this is true. Considering the amount of exposed SQL injection vulnerabilities that have been located and exposed on may web pages, I believe that these sites were hacked by people that located the same pages that I did when doing Google Searches. One example I found was on a script that they sell called ViralDX. There is a vulnerability that allows you to expose the admin user name and password for this script. I found a site using this script and ran the example exposed on a website and was able to obtain the admin user name and password for the site in about 1 min.
This forum that I found also shows some examples of responses you receive when e-mailing their support team requesting a refund. Here are the 2 that I found posted by the admin of the forum. He was first quick to defend e-topbiz until the user posting the complaint provided some examples. The user did not post examples so the owner of the forum decided to buy a script himself, report a problem and request a refund. Here is the response he got:
Quote:
I will hapily **** you in that stupid arrogant head
Here is another about a from their support team to a user that had problems with their unlock key:
Hi!
1) Stop threatening without a reason, once more and you will get into trouble
2) Unlock key is explained on our FAQ page, have you checked it?

to which I emailed him back and said again that if I didn't get what I paid for I would contact Paypal, and then I got this email:

You can contact Paypal right now, I told you to behave yourself, but it seems that you having fun harrasing me. And this is OK, only problem is that this will probably cost you.

Goran
Anyway, like I said earlier, I guess you get what you pay for but any responses like this that you get from a companies support team are totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Also, note that the last example is from Goran who is supposedly the owner of the company.
