My situation is that I reported a lost/stolen ATM card. I called customer service and got stuck with someone who could barely speak english (happens every time)... just what you want when you are trying to describe an important issue.

The service rep said 'no problem, we can get another card out... would you like that sent FedEx for an additional $20?' What else am I going to say but yes... the guy says 'great.... we will ship your card out in 5-7 days'!!!!!!!!!!!

This is rediculous... I have companies that automatically draw funds from my bank account using that card number (which is cancelled now by the way while they casually work on getting a new card out with a new number'. Now when those companies go to draw funds, it is not going to work, and I am going to get charged for it (by the company)!

I voiced my concern with E*Trade and they sent me an email reply. When I replied to that, I got a message back from them stating they could not give me any information since it is unsecure... keep in mind that it was OK for them to send me thier original reply via unsecured email.

This burns me up... they say my new card will get here in about 7 days now... I closed on my new home faster than this.

Not that it will matter to ETrade, but I will be closing my account soon because of this. There is nothing like just going to a local branch and having them address you by name.
