Complaint Review: E Z Rent a Car

RIp Off Car Rental office.  They use switch and bait method to bring in customers.  They advertise through other web site for cheap car rental rates, just to bring you in.  There, they have a set of hidden charges applied to your rental agreement that you will discover them when you return the vehicle.  They will find any possibility to rip you off.

I answered their ad through another booking site that is showing very low rates compared to other rental companies.  When I arrived at Toronto Airport, their location was 10 minutes away that you have to struggle to reach their shuttle.

Number one rip off was charging for mileage.  When I asked the clerck that the booking clearly states, unlimited mileage, he mentioned they charge for excess mileage (200km/day) if the renter using a Canadian driving licence...Never heard about that.

Number two rip off when they printed the contract with a different price that I was booked for.  When confronting the worker, he said it was a mistake and I will grant you the booking rate...Oh Thank You

Number three rip off when I returned the car with a couple of days extra.  I found that the excess daily charges was double the booking rate...Just to find a wway to pocket money

Number four rip off when I booked a SUV their fleet was not AWD on all the SUVs.  Again when requesting an AWD or cancelling the reservation, the recepionist wanted to charge me for cancellation fee.  He said the booking did not show that the SUV is AWD.  When booking an SUV in a winter time, people expect an AWD vehicle as most of the SUVs in cold areas are AWDs

At the end I spent much more on this rental than a bigger rental companies charge.  Be carful from low advertised rates on car rental, always check in detail and in advance before commiting to an agreement.
