Eagle Transmission rebuilt a transmission on a 1997 Audi Cabriolet. The car has been towed in to them twice and driven in 3 additional times. First time because it was leaking transmission fluid, they supposedly fixed, they kept the car a week. Second time the transmission would not shift properly. They checked it and said it was working properly.

Third time, Took it back in for the same problem not shifting properly, they kept it for nearly 3 weeks and changed out a speed sensor that they said they had used the wrong sensor on the repair. Starting having the same shifting problem on the way home. Fourth time, I took the car on a short trip to Corpus Christi and on the way back it started leaking transmission fluid severly, had it towed back to Eagle Transmission. Surprise they said they could not find a leak. But after argueing with them they found the leak. The Transmission still would not shift properly. The shifting got so bad, it was causing the engine to over heat.

Their excusses are laughable if it was not for the $3,600 they charged to rebuild the transmission.
Eagle Transmission Excuses as follows:

1. The vibration from the transmission is from the motor mounts, That my Import
Mechanic says are fine.
2. This time the vibration from the transmission is cause by the cross member bushings
and the front strut.

I have had all the electronic checked by an import specialist, the instrument cluster, the engine control module, and wiring has all been checked and tested and found to be working perfectly. The problem is in the transmission and Eagle Transmission refuses to fix the transmission.

Just had it towed home from Eagle Transmission, Will have to find a reputable transmission shop to fix their mess and repair the damages they caused to the car.

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

My name is Dan Delich, and I am the owner of this Eagle Transmission, and I personally worked with this gentleman claiming this report. I explained to the him, we would look into it and if the transmission had any problems, we would take care of it out of sheer customer service even though the vehicle warranty was not transferable and this gentleman was not the original owner of the vehicle when the repairs were completed. After hours of diagnostics, we pulled out the transmission to find nothing wrong inside the unit, and installed the unit for further diagnostics.
What we were getting was a communication/electrical problem that was not communicating with the transmission. We replaced multiple speed sensors and spent extensive hours of advanced diagnostics, but could not determine where the loss of communication was originating, so we had two 3rd party technicians run diagnostics, and each determined the transmission was operating normal and the problem was an electrical problem and that it could be coming from the computer, instrument cluster or a sensor. Seeing as though we had replaced both speed sensors, we informed the gentleman to have his general automotive technician diagnose the other components to determine the problem, since we are strictly transmission specialists.
At one time we even spoke with this gentleman's technician in San Antonio, and he admitted to us that this vehicle had multiple problems and that at no time did he deem the transmission to be faulty.
For those reading this, keep in mind, all these advanced diagnostics at 3rd party shops, labor for the internal transmission inspection, cost of replaced parts were never charged to this gentleman even though this warranty was not transferable to him. We covered all these expenses attempting to help him in a bind, but unfortunately we could not go any further with diagnostics because our expertise is strictly transmissions.
I take customer service very seriously, and treat all my customer's vehicles as if they were my wife or kid's. For anymore clarification, you can reach me at 512-323-2525.
