Eagle Wrecker Service - Action Towing ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing Dickinson Texas
Action Towing, Kenny, led us to believe that we needed our automobile towed for safety reasons after being hit from behind. He assured us that the girl who hit us would be responsible for the the charges.
We had it towed and had to pay $552.36 out of our own pocket to get our automobile back. Action Towing would not explain the charges, especially the $375.00 transfer fee.

There are many reasons for a $500 fee, how about some details?
Many vehicles have a safety device in the rear that shuts off your fuel when you're hit from behind, and you wouldn't get far driving it. What if you drove the car and your axle fell off on the freeway, or something rubbed and set the car afire? I've had both of these happen to me while the car was being towed.
The tower was correct in advising you not to drive the car, but it was your final decision to make. For the insurance problem, most insurance companies will have no problem paying for the tow, it just takes time.
Usually in a rear-ender, the rear driver's company pays the towing. The tower told you what USUALLY happens, but it's not really his problem. He just wants to get paid for towing you, then he's out of it.
