Complaint Review: East Coast Mechanical Contract

They are thieves and liars!!! This was a real rip-off!
I bought a service contract from East Coast Mechanical (ECM) and it happened to be that nothing of what my house needed was covered by their contract. In my case I paid extra to have the option of replacement in appliances such as the A/C, but even under these conditions they went to my house and said that replacement wasn't covered in the first year of contract. Even worst, I called them back yesterday for some plumbing work (hot paper pipe in the garage) and they opened the wall and disconnected the water heater in my house to call me later and say: "we cannot fix it because it is not covered in your contract". After leaving 5 messages with their "customer relations" department, they called me back to argue that they don't cover the type of pipe that has the leak. I had to call another company to fix the leak and this company also charged me for reconnecting the water heater. I called ECM again to see if at least they could go back and reconnect the water heater since they cut it and disconnected and guess what?? - They would go but only charging me for reconnecting it!!

Call Service America!!! Their contract's price seems to be more expensive but they're always there and they perform the work.

Hopefully a lot of people read this so they are not victims of this rip-off!!
