My husband and I hired East Coast Moving & Storage on October 3rd after receiving a phone estimate for our move from McKinney TX to Las Vegas NV on October 30, 2017 of $1,999 and we paid a deposit of $300.  The estimate included 30 days of free storage of our household goods. The week of October 23rd I called the Sales Representative (Mark) to express concern that the estimate provided was too low.  After consideration, he revised the estimate to $2,600 which we agreed to.

On the day of the move, October 30, 2017 the movers to pick up our household goods and the minute the driver, Wade walked into our home, he immediately stated that our move had been underestimated and he would have to recalculate.  He came back to us with an estimate of $5,692 - more than double the revised estimate!  Since we had to be our of the house the next day, we had no option but to agree to this and we paid an additional $1,500 that day.

Once we had returned to Las Vegas, we were contacted by East Coast Moving & Storage at the end of October to determine a delivery date and we explained that our house was not ready yet, so asked for another month of storage.  We were told that the storage fee per month would be $975 (1300 cu ft * 75 - $975 per month) and were referred to a Post Contract Services Order Form that was blank!   A storage unit large enough to store our goods would cost approximately $400 - $500 per month.  East Coast Moving are charging double that amount!  My husband and I are retired senior citizens and cannot afford to pay for our household goods to be delivered - an additional cost of $3,891.80 in addition to the $975 per month storage.  East Coast Moving are basically holding our household goods for ransom.
