Eastern Connection Movers or Maier's Relocation Stole our furniture never delivered and cut off all contact with us Sellersville Pennsylvania

Eastern Connection Movers was hired to move the contents of our home.   The picked up our contents in August 2014 with a contracted delivery date of Sept. 8th, 2014.    As of October 15th, we still do not have delivery and have lost all contact with the vendor.   The do not return emails, text or voicemails.  I'm hoping someone can help......

We call the DOT and gave the number on the bill of lading only to find out that the DOT number (2318562) does not even match their company name.   This  number is asscociated with Maier relocation services.

Is appears they have stolen our contents and are out of business given there is no more contact.   We do not want this to happen to anyone else. Do not hire this company at all costs....they are not legit.

We have no recourse to get our stuff back

I admire this company's efforts of safety

#11Consumer Comment

I am using a throw away as well email so I will not be bombed with a lot of spam. I also as a consumr admire that companies efforts to ensure safety on the road as we all know safety of your car, pick up truck or even any moving vehicle is a priority to prevent any loss of life or lawsuits from a mechanical failure out on the road and I am certain we have all had a flat tire or have broken down on the roads. In the defense of this company I read I want to thank the owner and driver of that equipment whomeve it was for putting safety first and looking out forthe other motorists on the road by returning to your office and mechanic to do the repair needed to ensure safety on the road Thank you!

As for the idiot that complained as I see about their delivery not being made on time you know I have some comments to make here!, you should be ashamed of yourself by complaining you know it really looks like the way you are talking that you wished harm and a serious accident to happen to the driver of that truck and trailer am I correct. No wonder our insurance rates are so hi in America because of idiots like you whom donot care about if a truck or trailer jas a mechanically break down as you are implying" Just keep on driving and if the wheel falls off who gives a s**t right!

To make one final comment what is it that as I read in other B.S. about that company about a comment of He or She what does a delivery that has nothing to do with a delivery I tell you this lets add that a Vulcan with pointed ears delivered your move right!  Iam in the food delivery business and I have had trucksbreak down more then once in my fllet and I'm glad that the driver in each incident had the f ing smarts to get the truck back to the mechanic for repairs . I guess your cars must be driving around with some major needed repairs right? Just wait until a cop pulls you over and starts writing you fines fordriving an unsafe car Further, I read as a consumer that you did receive your items safely as I read as a consumer like you .

Furniture Finally delivered in October

#11Author of original report

Mon, November 10, 2014

So as it turns out they did not steal our furniture....just did not have a working trailer for several weeks so could not deliver.

After several days of no contact (which lead us to believe it was theft)......they finally contacted us.   This was after we filed reviews on line and called Philadelphia Channel 3 news to investigate.

Mike told us that he can delay as long as long as he wants per section 2 of his contract.   So if his equiment is broken down for 5 weeks the customers have to wait.

Call The Public Utility Commission of Pennsylvania and speak with Bill Killrain, (215) 965.3722.    As a consumer you may call them and they have the background on moving companies.   They will give you all the details and provide a list of reputable movers.

You may also contact the Penn Ridge Regional Police Department (Officer Roesener (215) 257-5104) and ask about any prior complaints.

Worst experience of my life.

I almost forgot to post this one: http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Maiers-Relocation-Services-Eveco/Upper-Darby-Pennsylvania-19082/Maiers-Relocation-Services-Eveco-Dishonest-Malicious-Moving-Company-Ripoff-Upper-Dar-149986

As you can see Mr. Maier has been up to the same no good ways for many years...

Michael is a scam artist

#11Consumer Suggestion

I would like to preface my statement by saying that I have chosen to comment on this post using a throwaway e-mail because I don't feel like having my inbox bombarded by a plethora of spam from Mr. Maier's many personalities (or whatever name he/she is going by these days).

From previous experience I can tell you that every single post that you are seeing from different "employees" are actually Michael Maier. He also goes by George Maier, George Strouse, Steddon Strouse, and many, many more.

He is a scam artist and has been doing this to people for as far back as I've been aware of him. He has does not have a legal license to transport household goods interstate. You can check his Safety Measurement System here or the FMCSA website here for verification (he is registered as a cargo carrier of Motor Vehicles with the DOT, not household goods). He is not registered to perform intrastate moves in Pennsylvania and has been fined a number of times by the state for do just so. He has failed to respond and any of the states complaints against him and they are in fact actively looking for his vehicle at this time. He is also NOT a member of the American Moving and Storage Association ("at large" or otherwise) or the Pennsylvania Moving & Storage Associates.

He has one vehicle that he uses to illegally move people's belongings. It is a 1981 Freightliner, bearing Pennsylvania registration AF56832, VIN# 1FUEYBYB8BP194358. Since that is public record from the last docket filed against (C-2014-2382581) him by the Pennsylvania PUC there should be no issue with posting it. If you happen to see this truck out performing household moves in Pennsylvania please call the Public Utility Commission at 1-800-692-7380. They will be happy to send out a friendly state trooper to shut him down.

At this point, the best way for you to move forward would be to file a formal complaint against him with the Federal Motor Carriers Administration here.

I hope this helps, but unfortunately I can't guarantee that any of this will get your things back. I just hope that enough people research their moves so they won't end up in your unfortunate situation.

And Michael, before you start your next tirade over this post just know that a link to this complaint has been forwarded to Tim Cotter with the DOT.

Pietrapolo's big deceit to the readers here

#11UPDATE Employee

Tue, October 28, 2014

Hi to the readers here and Iam an employee for the company and would like to add more to set this record straight. First, Pietrapolo Tina 's items have been delivered and I HAVE THE ABSOLUTE PROOF IN PICTURES taken at the delivery on Friday the 24 of October to back it up. Anyone can email me Bill Keller at billkeller345@yahoo.com and I will send to you. Secondly, our team never stole anything, third, it the reason for the delay was because of a mechanical failure in which the vehicle had to be returned to the owner for repairs which were done in a timely fashion. Our company is committed to providing a good moving experience to its customers and sometimes things happen to good people.   Further, even thou our numbers don't match as ir reported that is because we our in a contract agreement with a lease to use their equipement as anyother company may do like for example it is like a person leasing a taxi cab from a company to move people and many people and orginaztions do that in the business world. Just like the trailer we leased or rented it is there to do the job.  Thank you  B. Keller

Facts

 Facts are Facts

We have not received shipment, which Mike admits on this site.

Mike has threatend to quit in an email to Paul.

Here is the direct quote from Mike's his email:

"Nothing has been stolen. If you want it come for it!  Finally Iam an employee so please . I am having a lot of trouble worrying about this delivery and to be quite frank might just quit this job and move on. I know you spoke to John whom is in the office now and has given me this opportunity to write you back. I will add that we have already spent over $ 400.00 in Fuel plus countless time and money to pay our crew to make the attempt to deliver in Good faith and beileve the receipts attached say it all"

This shows his great customer service.   He is complaining to his customer about costs he is incurring.   He claims to attempt delivery once and still does not have a working trailer to deliver our stuff.  He keeps blaming the mechanic which does not do us any good.   We still do not have our shipment and he is unable to provide a date.  He is holding our belongings and will not provide an address of the location.   We fear total loss.

Mike is pointing to things that have nothing to do with his lack of deliver.  My employment is irrelevant and has nothing to do with this shipment.

He is unable to deliver so should be exposed until he does.

slander by Tina Pietrapolo

Fri, October 17, 2014

Dear Readers,

I as an employee of this company can for absolute state that we have stated the facts about why delivery wasn't made to Tina Pietrapolo as we would be glad to email anybodythe actual receipts of the fuel we purchased and toll receipts to back up our GOOD FAITH AND IN GOOD FAITH effort to make a delivery to Tina Pietrapolo her and Paul's items to Florida. As we stated that the trailer we use encountered mechanical problems while on 95 near Manning South Carolina and in addition we were required to turn back for home to where it was leased from to facilitate repairs. Further, I would gladly send to the moderator of this site the proof that we made a good solid effort to make delivery if he so requests.

You know it really appears to us that this Tina Pietrapolo whom is an employee for ICON REALLY doesn't care for the safety and welfare of other drivers on this nation's higways and she really must enjoy watching people get hurt in auto accidents by operating unsafe vehicles. Our company did the right thing by getting the trailer back to the location where it was picked up from to get fixed and parts are on order.

This mechanical failure is a nightmare to us but not our fault. We will facilitate delivery when we get a call from the mechanic stating it is completed and until then our hands are tied. Sometimes some odd things happen to good people.

Easter Connection Movers is Lying

#11Author of original report

Fri, October 17, 2014

It is October 17th and we have no delivery date from eastern connection movers.

They continue to blame a fictitious mechanic which we have no contract with a mechanic.

He obviusly does not have working equipment but continues to present he is able to handle such moves on his website.

We found out the DOT number (2318562) on the bill of Lading does not even belong to Eastern Connection Movers as presented on the bill of lading.   It belongs to another company name.

Mike has signed the bill using the name Mike.   He poses on his website as George.   We do not even know his real name.

He is unable to produce any pictures/proof that our stuff is even secure......only the receipts he created which prove nothing....they could come from anyone.

I've asked for the taxid # which he has not produced.

If he wants to rebutal....lets get real proof.....

He has a F rating from the Better Business Bureau.....

Mr. Pietrapolo hired us to move him yes however, he is failing to tell you that Hehad scheduled the delivery for September 8 then called us on September 4 to tell us that the contractors whom were renovating his house in Naples, Florida were not done and he asked our dispatch office if we could delay the delivery for 3 weeks until September 30 2014 and we gladly just for customer service sake said yes to him.

Meanwhile to take a step back since Mr. Pietrapolo called us on September 4th to delay at his option the scheduled delivery of his furnishings on the 8th of September and our mechanic decided to do some renovations on the cargo trailer and he ran into some problems with getting proper wheel bearings and other updated mechanical parts for the trailer. The Mechainc personally called Paul Pietraopolo  on Friday the 3rd of October and told him that the trailer would not be ready to go on the road until Wednesday the 8th of October  and the mechanic admitted to Paul that he was the culprit of the delay and that he estimated the trailer to be completed on October 8 and Paul sugessted delivery then to be on October 10 to the mechanic whom is not an employee of Eastern Connection but a seperate enitity. Both Paul and the mechanic agreed. The trailer wasn't finished until Thursday the 9th because the wheel bearings were on back order.

The trailer was done on the 9th and road tested and passed. The Eastern Connection Team called Paul on Friday in the afternoon and told him delivery would be on 14 or 15th. The team left on the 12th got as far as North Carolina and had bearing problems and a tire valve stem to replace and the valve stem was replaced in which we do have documentation including fuel receipts. The team got as far as Manning SC and stopped in at a truck stop to get fuel and then a serious problem mechanically in which could cause problems was discovered and the team  decided to turn around and come home to get it repaired because wheel bearings and another mechanical problem in wwhich wasn't the mover's fault. The customer was notified and said he approved for the movers to go get trailer repaired. The customer was emailed recipts.

As of this report the Mechanic is expecting to have the trailer finished. by Saturday the 18 and we are hoping that it will be as we wre told. Once the trailer is done it will be tested and ready for delivety.  We are seeing the mechanic daily to keep our client in th loop.  We are unable to rent a trailer because all rentals are riveted by alumin and they will fall aprt .if you tow them with a class 8 truck. Our unit is actual steel plates welded to the rest of the unit .

We are not out of business and it appears that a clerical error was made on the dot site. If we were out of business then why are the phones still be answered by out award winning customer service team. Our numbers don't match because like other business we have a lease aggreement between us.. This cusytomer Tina and Paul Pietrapolo had a construction and home remolding business located in Havertown Pa and had themselves gotten into trouble .

In closing, this problem is beyond our control for a mechanical defect that had to be addressed for safety sake. The mechanicis at 100% fault as he admitits  and we will keep it going.
