Complaint Review: Eastern Marine

Eastern Marine After being disappointed with the tire/wheels received I wrote a negative review. A month later the negative review never made the website. If you check the website you will find no negative reviews. This shows they fabricate the review process by weeding out the negative reviews to boost sales. They did add another tire picture after my review because what I saw a picture of and what I bought was two different things. They still have the pictures backwards on the 4.80x12 4 lug and 5 lug tire sold on the same page. They also claim the wheel is galvanized but it sure looks like cheap paint to me with numerous dirt specks in it. Dirt specks wouldn't survive in molten zinc which is what galvanized is. Customer support failed to contact me. Newark Delaware

 Eastern Marine hides negative reviews. I was displeased with my tire/wheel purchase for my camper. Receiving it before a trip I was kind of forced to keep and use them. That was my decision so no problem there. The wheels were suppose to be galvanized. They appear to be cheaply painted with numerous dirt specks under the paint. Galvanized is steel dipped in molten zinc to prevent corrosion. Dirt specks burn up in molten metal. The tires were not what was pictured but a completely different tread. They did sell a 4 lug and 5 lug tire on the same page through a drop down menu. They showed only the 5 lug tire. So if you bought the 4 lug you were disappointed. They have since updated that tire/wheel web page which now shows both tires and wheels but they have the tire pictures backwards as far as the 4 lug and 5 lug tire goes. I can't trust a site that hides/deletes negative reviews. If someone complained about a product I sold I would of least contacted the customer and try to make things right. Eastern Marine showed no concern.

 After filing the report the company has contacted me twice. Once to leave a new review and to contact customer service once I get home from my trip. Thank you ripoffreport for the catalyst.
