I signed a membership to a martial arts company that used Easy-Pay to automatically deduct the mebership fees from my checking account. I cancelled my membership back in June 2004 because I was going on active duty and moved to another state where the marital art dojo was located. In Febrary and March Easy-Pay started to once again deduct the mebership fees from my checking account even though I had not been a member for over 6 months.

I requested a refund from the martial arts company and was told I could only be credited two months class time. This is another issue filed under another report.

I contacted Easy-Pay to cancel all deductions and to request a refund of the deductions (2 seperate $74.00 charges). I spoke with an operator named Linda who informed me that I had authorized the renewing automatic deductions from my checking account. I told her that I had moved out of state and had not attended any classes since June 2004. I asked for the paper work to be faxed to me that proved I had requested the automatic deductions. Linda stated that Easy-Pay's policy is not to send any paperwork out to people who use their service. Linda claimed that I should have received this paperwork from the Martial Arts company when I requested to renew my mebership (which I had not done).

I asked Linda to refund the two charges since I had paid for a service that I had not received. She stated that there is no refund policy under any circumstances and that Easy-Pay is not responsible for any dealings between the customer and the vendor utlizing Easy-Pay's services.

I told her that I would ask the Attorney General of Texas to assist me in obtaining the aledged paperwork. Linda then informed me that she could no longer discuss the matter with me since I had threatened to obtain legal counsel and that I was no longer permitted to contact any employee of Easy-Pay.

1. I cancelled all payments via Easy-Pay in June 2004
2. In February 2004 Easy-Pay illegally accessed my account to withdraw funds.
3. 6 months had passed and Easy-Pay began to withdraw fees again without any authorization from me.
4. Easy-Pay illegally stored my account information after all business dealings were complete for a period of 6 months.
5. Easy-pay has a NO REFUND POLICY - YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR MONEY BACK wihtout an attorney.
6. Easy-Pay will not send you any information regarding any dedcutions, withdraws, etc. if you ask them to.

I will never do business with any company that utilizes Easy-Pay Automated Billing Services. I suggest that if faced with making payments via Easy-Pay that you try to negotiate another method of payment.

I also suggest to any businesses that read this: do your customers a favor and avoid Easy Pay of Belton Texas, they will thank you in the end.
