I chose this local rental company because they carry stick shift. Unlike the normal rental, they charged the fee at the time you sign the rental contract, not after you return the car.

I had a car that couldn't be started again after 10 minutes I got it. The starter was bad. After 3 days, I got the car back, and the same problem happened. The person there claimed I couldn't drive a stick shift, and the car doesn't have problem. I asked to return the rental 3 days after the initial signing, when the car broke down with the same problem for the second time. Still arguing on the final settlement. He's still trying to charge me extra days.

This is my first time using a no-name small rental company. Not sure if it's normal or not, but when people return the car, there doesn't seem to be any cleaning/mechanical checking. The car smells like hell. That taught me a lesson. Never rent from a small company again. They don't have the gurantee and service behind it.
