Nov 30, 2013I responded to a number of Craigslist ads for a used skid steer loader in Phoenix, Austin,TX, Los Angeles. All got sold before I could mobilize.
Dec 01, 2013I heard back from a Luis Johnson about a skid steer available in Phoenix, AZ. It was a very good deal and after a few emails, this person described a consignment sale process through a company called EasyConsignment.com. I researched this company on the Internet and it appeared to be an established consignment broker for eBay, Craigslist sales, etc.
Dec 02, 2013I wired money to Barclays Bank in London for the purchase price of $4000. I knew this might be risky, but I had done it many times before for equipment purchases for work and it seemed like a modern and efficient process.
Dec 06, 2013A transaction report appeared on the EasyConsignment.com website acknowledging the payment and showing a scheduled delivery at the delivery address in Santa Rosa, NM for December 10, 2013 at 6:00PM
Dec 10, 2013Skid steer was not delivered. I begin to see several reports on the internet of similar fraudulent, uncompleted transactions during the same time period as mine.
