Complaint Review: EAX Worldwide

EAX Worldwide contacted me to offer transportation services of the goods to/from a trade-show. they provided a quote that looked like a regular quote that I see every time, but unlike other quotes it did not summarize all charges on the bottom line - it had just one last additional charge there - that looked like a competitive shipment price.

I was tricked and ordered the service, and I was very much surprised with the final Invoice. The shipment was at least 2, maybe 3 times more expensive than if I used regular carriers.

If they were honest - why their quote was so mimicked to look like a normal reasonable quote? the rate at the top, the dollar amount at the bottom?
Why did they list all additional charges in the text of the left column, and put only one of them in the right?

Actually, this is a very good trick for big companies who look at the quote only once and don't double-check their credit card charges afterwards, and this 2-3 times higher price for shipment can go unnoticed for a long time.
