Signed up in March 2006 at www.ebarjobs.com for "exclusive access" to online job postings. Cancelled in April 2006 following the instructions on their website. It is now October 2006 and they continue to charge me $9.95/month. I have sent emails requesting that they stop charging me, I can no longer access my account and login, and they NEVER responded.

I recently found out that the company actually doing the billing, American Bartender Institute, was the subject of government action in April 2006. The FTC charged them with selling bogus bartender and mystery shopper certification programs and they have been banned for life from telemarketing. The owner, Stevan P. Todorovic, is a repeat offender who is under court order from October 2001 following previous FTC charges. Apparently the man doesn't learn.

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Santa Barbara, CA. Am also considering filing a complaint against them with the FTC. Does anyone know - is there a 3 strikes provision for offenders???
