I purchased an Acer TMC314XMI Tablet PC from Franklin Covey. I purchased the laptop by clicking on a link I found at Ebates.com. Ebates is a site that pays you a rebate for anything purchased by "clicking through" the Ebates website first. I'm not real sure who is to blame but here's the deal. Ebates.com was supposed to "ebate me" 80.00 dollars for the purchase. My ebates.com account was properly credited. Unfortunately, immediately after I received the laptop, the credit was taken away. Who's at fault? I don't know. Here's what I do know. Ebates doesn't deliver on what they promise. And Franklin Covey isn't interested in keeping its advertising commitments. Franklin Covey knows I purchased the laptop, and Ebates.com knows that I clicked through the Ebates.com website to access Franklin Covey. Unfortunately, neither company is interested in communicating with each other, except for the stock email reply "we're working on your issue".
It looks like the consumer loses.

Stay away from Ebates.com and go to CompUsa to buy the laptop you need. You may pay a little bit more, but you won't be left with that awful "I just got taken for ride" feeling.
