First let me start by saying, I never, ever, take any chances by bidding or buying anything that doesn't have a PayPal account.
I was told by eBay and PayPal that this was the only secure way to purchase anything on eBay. Don't believe it!!!

Here is how it happens:
I purchased an item on eBay that had a BuyItNow amount that appeared what the item was worth. $221.00 was quickly removed from my back account when I used the Pay by PayPal button later that same day.
Shortly after the money was removed from my bank account (by PayPal) I received an email from the seller wig28384 through eBay that stated "Do Not! pay for the item".

Although I can't prove it, I am pretty certain the eBay seller and the person that owns the PayPal account are in it together. The seller claims he has been Phished (A term that eBay uses for fake website's that look like eBay used to get members info).

Neither eBay or PayPal has responded to my emails and when I contacted PayPal by phone, they acted as if I did something wrong. So now, you guessed it....I'm out $221.00. If it's any consulation, I am being told IF! I get anything back it will be at least 30-days.

PayPal account name: pengsheng shang
eBay sellers name: wig28384

Phishing

If the seller has been phished that is his problem, not yours. If you used the Paypal icon that was on the Ebay auction then you should get your money back in time.

Sounds like he is trying to scam you out of the money.
