eBay is only for the seller of products and really doesn't care about the buyers, (unless you refuse to pay). company advertised "free shipping" then when I won the bid ,at checkout they wanted $49.95 in add shipping cost. complained to eBay res. ctr. and they did nothing but give me the run around!! (they support the seller, NOT the buyer)

I agree, post the ad here, and the Ebay seller ID

In my experience as an Ebay seller I have found that buyers often bid on something without reading the entire listing. Then they are pissed only because they didn't pay attention.

The "free shipping" is usually offered on one method of shipping such as UPS ground, and then other shipping options are listed, usually an express service, or priority mail, etc, that are NOT "free".

Sometimes the buyer just needs to pay attention.

And, if you were right, you had every right under Ebay rules to refuse to make payment. That was your option, IF you were right.

Any evidence?

Sellers post here and claim eBay is only for the buyers, buyers post here and claim eBay is always for the seller..but it is all talk.

Why don't you post the ad and the sellers user ID so we can see the evidence? If the ad states free shipping and then $49.00 is added in during checkout..certainly other ebayers would like to know who is doing this and how. Since when a seller places an ad, there is no way to have it both ways..either the seller clicks "free shipping", or not..it is automated and then eBay places the "free shipping" icon with the ad..how did this seller get around that? Too many unanswered questions in this report.
