When you look at the feedback rating of a seller on ebay you might be mislead since a negative feedback can be removed without the consent of the party which placed the feedback and without any reason.

I had placed negative feedback for a seller who cheated me. (I lost $ 400 on this transaction). A few weeks after placing negative feedback for him I saw that it was "mutually removed". I contacted ebay asking them how it is possible that the feedback was "mutually" removed without ever having contacted me and the response was: "If the other party does not respond the feedback will be removed without his consent"

If I had received anything I would have disagreed with the removal, since I was never contacted I did not have the chance to disagree. So, next time you see "feedback mutually removed" on ebay keep in mind that the "mutual" does not mean anything.

Can you just repost your negative comment on E-bay?

I've never bought or sold anything on e-bay and after reading the horror stories on Rip-off I doubt I ever will. Can you just repost the comment every time they take it off without your consent?
