Complaint Review: EBay Financial Department / Maria Kaser & Tom Nelson Were Names U

We found a 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 LRD on Craigslist with 69K miles for $4,300.00. There was no phone number to contact the seller, so we talked through email. Once we emailed to let them know we were interested in the vehicle, the posting on Craigslist was taken off. A lady emailed us to let us know that she would be using eBay Financing Department going through their Vehicle Purchase Protection Program. We asked what was wrong with the vehicle and were told my a lady named "Maria Kaser" that she was recently divorced and got the car. She had 2 small kids and didn't need the truck, and that was why she was selling it for so cheap. She told us that she needed our full name and address so she could start the process through eBay Financing Department and for us to be looking for an email from them on how to send the money and the next steps.

After receiving email, we were told to send the money via Money Gram to a "eBay financing agent" named "Tom Nelson", who was at an address in Atlanta, GA. We sent the money through MoneyGram, and contacted the seller (Maria Kaser) and let her know it was sent. She replied stating that she would start the shipping process and for us to make sure we responded to the invoice through the eBay financing department. When we received the confirmation from the eBay financing department, it called us by a totally different name than ours. After doing research, we found out we were scammed. We contacted Money Gram to see if we could stop transaction and were told that it was received and picked up. To our surprise, it was sent to California and not in Atlanta. Please beware!!
