Ebay & Paypal have come up with a new idea of making money. Their lust and greed could be satisfied with their high charges, so now they want to hold your funds and earn interest on them.

Two interesting cases for your review and fun:

Case 1:
Customer filed a claim against me. The funds were put on Hold for a week. After that the geniuses at Ebay decided that buyer was wrong and released the funds. A week later the case was escalated with Paypal and it was their turn to have fun. They are one step ahead than Ebay. My funds were on Hold indefnitely. No communication from Paypal. So i decided to call them. I was told that the decision has been given in my favor. Natural question was, why are my funds on Hold. Super natural answer from them, why did not call.
Everyone lived happily thereafter.

Case 2:
I sold an item on Ebay and payment was promptly made by the customer. The funds are on Hold.
I asked them why?
First line of defense: Your account is new. Well i am being ripped off by Ebay and Paypal for last 10 years. What is your definition of new? Oops, this defense will not work. Ok new line of defense. You have open cases. No i don't. Oops times 2.  Lets find another solid un-retractable defense. Your performance is sub standard. I cannot get over 100% feedback. No but your performance is sub standard. OK. Lets just rot in hell together.

Should have gone with Amazon lng time back.

They are also holding funds from marketplace sellers, for 90 days some people report here. Especially for new accounts, if not all. Both sites obviously are stepping up efforts to deal with an upsurge in customer complaints on and returns to their sellers.

Another option is to call Scott Thompson the president of PayPal directly to let him know how much of a dirtbag he is.  His telephone number is:  408-376-7400.

Also, you can file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency in your area.  Additionally, if you live outside the State of California contact the FBI.  The actions of PayPal constitute Interstate Wire Fraud.  Good luck.
