As I said earlier, E bay would toss anyone for having 40 negatives unless they had hundreds of positives.

Heeeyyyy Jeanine!...I stand corrected! You're right. That unusual E bay seller name threw me. I wonder if the two nearly identical names have any connection. That one does have 41 negatives, 22 neutrals,BUT.... 3572 positives in total transactions. That indicates a 98.9 % favorable interaction with her(?) buyers. We'll throw out the "neutrals" in the equasion as they might go either way.

I realize if/when someone gets screwed, the number of satisfied buyers is of no particular consolation, but this seller is actually doing as well as most, better than some. She's running about one pissed off buyer per 100.

As I said earlier, E bay would toss anyone for having 40 negatives unless they had hundreds of positives. This seller literally has thousands of transactions (3675 to date). That is a WHOLE LOT of transactions! The number of "unique users" indicates there have been 1165 sales to RETURNING buyers who must have satisfied at least once.

Actually, the seller I erroneously identified has a worse record, even though there was only ONE 'negative'. The equasion: 65 positive, One negative. In comparison, that's 1.5 % unsatisfied, 98.5% satisfied. I would submit that it's important to consider the percentages.

But to repeat; I did have the wrong seller. You did good!

It is Balloons-Galore's responsibility to ensure product reaches their customers.

Of course you know that you are fully justified in filing a small claims court and in doing so you will win. It is Balloons-Galore's responsibility to ensure product reaches their customers. It is outrageous that that business should believe otherwise.

Because of the large amount of complaints against that enterprise I suspect there is a scheme in progress. That company sure does lose a bunch of shipments--nonsense. I suggest you contact Tom Unger at the Menominee County Sheriff's Department as soon as possible and let him know there is a possible scam operating in Daggett, MI. Tell Mr. Unger that

you would like to file charges against the owner of that business for theft by deception--demand your money back. Melody Linmeier is the name attached to Balloons-Galore, although I don't know if that is who actually owns the business.

Good Luck

The Fraud Chick

I have been selling on Ebay for over two years, and have had *one* package end up lost in shipment.

Actually, she did have her facts straight, you just entered the

information in wrong. :)

I entered ebay@balloons-galore.net , and what came up was the feedback for www.balloons-galore.net ... The seller has a rating of 2371. She has 22 neutrals, and 41 negatives, 32 of those negatives being from unique users.

Some complaints and her responses include:

Complaint : Never recvd 2 wks after I was told it was sent. NOT a postal error. RUDE!!!!!

Response by www.balloons-galore.net - We are NOT responsible for lost mail. We have postal receipt PROVING SHIPMENT!

Complaint : Still haven't received. Pd paypal 12 days ago. My daughter's party has past.

Response by www.balloons-galore.net - We shipped item Priority mail, but cannot be responsible for postal delays!!!!!

Complaint : Rude as can be, didn't respond forever! Never Again!

Response by www.balloons-galore.net - We are a RETAIL business, and DO

NOT work online 24 hours a day lady, GEEZ !

Complaint : PAID FOR, BUT NEVER RECEIVED PRODUCT. (I didn't buy insurance, so got screwed) Response by www.balloons-galore.net - U leave us a negative because u didnt buy insurance? Don't blame us! Geez!!

Complaint : DON'T COUNT ON THEM - slow mail/wrong item sent/VERY

ARGUMENTAL Response by www.balloons-galore.net - Agrumental? At least we dont call names, and threaten with slander!

And that's just an excerpt of the first 500 that I pulled up.

That's so odd ... I have been selling on Ebay for over two years, and have had *one* package end up lost in shipment. I have been buying on Ebay for even longer, and have never had a package end up missing. Either I am just a very lucky person, or this person is using the USPS as her scapegoat for poor shipping procedures.

...have your facts straight?

Huh?...Just for the hell of it I checked E bay; there's no

"balloons-galore", but there IS a "balloonsgalore". Feedback: 65 Positive, Neutral none, Negative, only one from 9-27-01. Are you sure you're ripping on the correct merchant and/or have your facts straight?

I'm not real crazy about E bay, but there are a lot of honest sellers there. With "40 negatives" E bay would toss anyone if they didn't also have a many hundreds of 'positives' as an offset.

E bay supposedly has up to "2,000,000 listings ongoing every day". If 1/2 of 1% are crooks, that DOES leave 10,000 to screw you. Just 1/10 of 1% would still be 2000 crooks. That would be 1 in 1000 E bay merchants. I'll go with 3/4 of 1% for my conservatively kind guess, that'd be 15,000 crooks and 1,985,000 honest vendors. Sort of a crap shoot with good odds, but still a chance to get screwed.
